#malfattixzartiques SWING SHELF WORKSHOP

every boho babe can always use an excuse to take a cute shelfie right? RIGHT! Megan and I thought up this idea as a great little DIY decor piece - just big enough to fit a small accent piece, or even a lil baby cactus! of course adding leather fringe and copper detailing was a must - and another way for workshoppers to add their own personal touch to the project!

#malfattixzartiques WALL HANGING WORKSHOP

After our vintage jungalow workshop was such a hit - we couldn't wait to work with Megan of  Malfatti Interiors again on a creative collaboration. Both being lovers of bohemian design - we decided to make our beautiful dip dyed wall hangings, and let our workshoppers get creative to put their own stamp on our DIY project!

Home of Six Hills - Zartiques Inside a Modern Farmhouse

Our sweet friend, interior designer and owner of Style House Designs Becky Hill has been designing her dream home for years - and finally it's complete! She hand picks each piece that goes into her family's space with so much care and thoughtfulness - combining style and function - which is great considering she has TWO sets of twins! We are lucky enough to be a part of her home as she used tons of our pieces in her designs - and she kindly agreed to give you guys a peek into the @homeofsixhills so you could see our pieces at work!

Having four children, my husband and I needed a house that was super functional - one that we use every inch of. It is so important for your home to be an expression of you and your family- for me I wanted my home to be timeless and welcoming.

here's the other apothecary! aren't you in love? anything with this many drawers always steals our hearts! a piece like this can be stunning (and useful) in so many spaces - Becky almost put this in her master closet for extra organization space (yeah she has an incredible huge closet that you would so envy) but in the end decided it had to go in the main room to be seen by all!

#malfattixzartiques vintage jungalow workshop

When we first met Megan Malfatti of Malfatti Interiors we knew instantly our styles were similar, and we shared a love for vintage furniture and decor. In no time, we decided that a creative collaboration was a must - and from there the ideas came out faster than we could get them jotted down. We had the idea for a staghorn fern mount diy workshop, but we wanted the event to be a more complete experience - a chance for us to show how our vintage pieces and Megan's professional styling experience could be combined to create our very own vintage jungalow, that with our help YOU could re create in your own home.

a zartiques wedding

Event staging is a HUGE job. The amount of time and planning that went in to this one was unbelievable - but the end result was so worth it. Our goal for styling this event was to create an entire experience, inspired by our love for vintage. We carefully picked EVERY individual piece used from our Zartiques collection - big and small. We hope these inspire you, to shop with us for your special day. Vintage pieces will add so much character and charm to your day!

yep, you're seeing it right. ALL mix matched vintage chairs - THAT was a big undertaking but the guests loved it! Made the reception tent so remarkably beautiful. You don't have to do your whole reception either - we love this idea just for the bridal party- or even just for the bride and groom "statement seating" for cute couple pictures. Oh and LOOK UP - see those pretty chandeliers? They looked even better that evening reflecting off all the string lights. None of those were more than $60 each and they made the biggest difference!

and finally the cake! The vintage cake topper had "1927" scribbled on the bottom - fun to imagine how many cakes it has graced since then! We've had several old ones in since then, and they've never been more than $12 - so check with us for little things that too! we think this one is pretty charming.

welcome to Zartiques

Zartiques was started in 2013 with a mission to bring our passion for vintage style and design to the masses.  There's something so magical about finding a treasure that had a life (or lives) before we find them – things that have a story to tell. Things that have survived the test of time because someone, somewhere decided they were special enough to take care of and pass on.

We hope to inspire you to use vintage pieces in modern ways and spaces - and do so affordably.

We started this blog to give you a peek into our journey. We want to bring you along to see the buying trips, the events, and the curating process. From personal home renovations to styling tips you can use in your own home, we hope to share it all. We will highlight people and places that inspire us, and spaces that clients have created using their Zartiques finds.

We hope you’ll join us. xx
